Towards A New Dark Age

Random Thoughts

A new dark age could be upon us. With the unlimited QE from not just the USA, EU, China and Japan, the whole world is doing QE - it inflates everything. A bigger wealth gap between the rich and the poor , the US-China conflict, the new 5G ecosystem

Are we heading towards a Socialist United State, a Fascist Europe and a Capitalist China?

Interesting times we are in, rather than thinking that life will get easier due to technology, I always believe that it will get worse for us commoners. This is especially the case for Singapore. I am proud of what our forefathers had achieved, no doubt about that, but we cannot stop at that. We have nothing, we are just a small island state. Either we move forward or we get thrown behind the wheels of time. Let me remind everyone of The Atlantic Project. Time is running out, although by then most of us will likely would have retired, hence it is the problem for the next generation.

I am just an average guy, I cannot foresee what the future holds for us. I can only plan, read more to gain knowledge everyday, and improvise along the way.

"To live is to die.
To die is to live.
To avoid death, is to avoid living"
By Sunday Adelaja

Suffering is inevitable for most people, to live is to suffer. Making it bearable is the only difference between a happy person and an unhappy person. Having a five to ten years goal makes hell of a difference from my POV.

Market Never Die

Simple Life

Thing do not have to be fancy to have an appreciation for it. Everything is interesting when you are in a foreign country.

Raining season is arriving here in Thailand, saw a crocodile swimming happily downstairs last week after a storm. Who want some crocodile meat?

Like I have always said, Thai people can be quite a creative bunch of people. With the ongoing pandemic, students without laptop or computer can now just turn on their television and watch lessons from it.

Eating dinner with wifey while she watches English lesson from the local TV
(She sibei bo liao, so now I am back in school with her)

This is why we need a small balcony, We use the sliding door to protect us from oil when we fry things.

Two fish for 50 baht, jin huat!

FOMO is very real.

That is why I always encourage people to start a portfolio.

This way you will never miss out and always stays in the market regardless whether it is going up or down while enjoying the ride. The worse thing that can happen is nothing moves.

Still in the process to reach my ideal portfolio allocation by including ETFs into my portfolio.

My current strategy is to buy undervalued US oil company while shorting Dow index.

You may read the reason why I bought Ring Energy Inc (REI.NYSE) here. (PS: I took profit last Friday, now waiting to buy back at a cheaper price.)
